Currently who is the best player in the world for men? According to a computer it shows that Luke D. or Rory M. is because Rory has won a major in the last 12 months. Is it Hunter M. because he has won 2 times in 2012. Yes these 3 great players play most of there golf in the States which is a stronger tour. I would like to nomiate a South African and its not Charles S. or Lou O. his name is Brendan Grace. Since November of 2011 he has won 3 times world wide, have not seen his world ranking but I’m sure it’s not in the top 50.

With most of the focus on the mens tour wether its Luke D. or Rorie M. the two can not be opposite from one another. One has a great short game and the other can move the golf ball out there. How about a golfer who can do alittle of both, her name is Yang Tseng. She is just outside the top ten in DRIVING DISTANCE and SCRAMBLING, but TOP TEN in GIR and last I look number ONE IN Birdies. That adds up to a deadly combination and the best player on all tours, like I have said before one of the best ways to improve or lower your scores is to make more PUTTS in your rounds of golf. Yes we all want to hit the ball longer but if you can make a few more 3 foot putts that will go alot longer an maybe the number at your club or golf course.

Recently I was sent an article from GOLF TIPS magazine in regards to golf shaft and how many are out there. Besides having the right loft on a DRIVER or even your Fairways the right GRAM weight and KICK POINT will become important. For example I had a SENIOR PLAYER come into my store with is Big Bertha 10 degree Driver with a Regular Flex, and want to try out the new RAZR Driver that is ajustable at 10 degrees and Regular Flex. After watching him for a while I notice that his LAUNCH Angles where as good as they needed to be. So I had him try out the same make Driver at 11.5 degrees with a SENIOR FLEX shaft and his numbers where much better. So when get a chance to goto a Demo Day bring your current Driver and compare that to what you want to try.

Hope that many viewers of my web site and readers of my bogs are having a great winter no matter where you are. Accept for those who live in a year round warm climate, those who live in the cold climate zone are beginning to think about golf. Part of thinking is TAKING GOLF LESSONS, before doing so think about what you want to improve at. As an instructor one thing I here from a lot of people ” I don’t need to be a Tour Player”, but I need to remind people that you need to do some “Homework” in order to improve. This is what you need to think about before signing up for golf lessons, How Much Time do I have to Practice?? Next you need to determine do I want to take 1/2 hr or 1 hr lesson, again if you really want to improve I would suggest 1 Hour golf lessons.Lastly, find a PGA Golf Instructor that you think would be a good match for you, then go an interview that person to find out what they are all about yes web sites are great but go ONE STEP more to find out. Keep in mind making a change in or golf swing or Short Game is not easy, try keeping a POSITIVE or UP Beat attitude and be confident.
