K P McCarthy currently resides as the PGA Golf Professional and teaching pro at the Golf Club of Mansion Ridge. The golf course is located in Orange County, NY and currently is the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in the the state of New York. As a PGA certified golf instructor I offer a variety of golf lesson packages which would suit all levels of golfer. Golf lessons can be done on a ONE-on- ONE bases on the range or learn how to play on the golf course with a PLAYING LESSON.

Golf lesson packages can be covered in the following varieties:

Individual (Private) ONE-on-ONE Golf lessons
Create your own golf lesson (3 or more)
Juniors (private) ages 6 or older
Golf clinics for men, women and juniors)
High school golf camps

golf lessons at Mansion Ridge Golf Course Whether you take a individual golf lesson or participate in a clinic the basics of the golf swing will be covered. The basics of the golf swing are Swing Plane, Grip and Posture. The key fundamental in golf is where you make contact with the ground and golf ball. My personal approach is that golf should be taught backwards. This means that we should be spending more time on our short game. Did you know that the short game covers 65 percent of the game of golf, which involves putting, pitching, bunkers and chipping. This is probably the best way to improve your score and enjoy golf a bit more.

All my golf lessons involve some type of video taping, in which we look for the key basics of the golf swing. There is no additional charge for this process.

During the month of May, participating PGA and LPGA Professionals provide free 10-minute lessons and/or family clinics designed to help golfers improve their games.
